Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation
The annual meeting of the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation was held in Atlanta on February 19-22. The event is reported by Lee Freeland in the May 2008 issue of ELEVATOR WORLD. Richard Gregory, an attendee and long-time contributor to EW, provided photos of some of the events during the four-day event.

In addition to the business meetings and reports, Betty Kjellberg, principal of Association Solutions, L.L.C., led a  planning session on February 21. She divided those in attendance into small groups and asked them to brainstorm on different subjects, what participant Steve Husband called, “thinking outside our normal box.” Representatives of each group presented their ideas and observations.

In recent years, an opportunity to present the Safe-T Rider© program at an area school has become one of the activities surrounding the EESF Annual Meeting. In this way, board members and others in the industry can view how the program is presented and see the response from the students. This year, the presentation was offered at Liberty Point Elementary School in Union City, Georgia.
