Below are the covers of two more children's books mentioned in Dr. Lee Gray's article from the October 2007 issue of ELEVATOR WORLD. In the The Case of the Elevator Duck by Polly Berrien Berends, eleven-year-old Gilbert wants to be a detective. When he finds a duck in the elevator of his housing project he has a lot of investigating to do; and in a building that doesn't allow pets he'd better not let the inspector catch him with the bird.

In the second book, The Elevator Family by Douglas Evans, the Wilson family arrives at their hotel to find the only room left is the hotel elevator. For the next three days they ride the elevator and happily greet all the suprised guests, meeting a wide variety of people.
