The offices of Elevator World, Inc. will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 26-27, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S. The offices will reopen Monday, November 30, for regular working hours.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the shortest escalator in the world is a 5-step high machine found in the Okadaya Mores shopping mall in Kawasaki, Japan. Its vertical rise is only 32.8 inches (83 cm). Enjoy the video albeit very short:
